I n this Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire article, we once again bring you 5 new turn-based Buildsthat were designed with only the new game mode in mind. These Builds are some of our favorites, and they are quite powerful, even more so than the last 5. The Relentless Fury Build uses the Fury subclass of Druid to make better effect of Elements spells by increasing Range and Penetration by a modest amount.
This Build thrives by using spells that render many enemies incapacitated at once, allowing for your team to systematically pick them off. These abilities render enemies Stunned and unable to take a turn, unless they have Resistance to Might Afflictions.
The great thing about these is that they are all different power levels, so you will be able to cast 2 of each per combat, once you get higher level. This skill is beastly when used properly. Single Class Druids will gain this at Level 9, which is quite early.
There is no way to effectively increase the Duration of these Stuns because even with 30 Intellectand supposing you Critically Strike, the Duration of the Stun will not increase beyond 1 Round.
However, having high Intellect is recommended for this Build as it will increase the area that these spells effect, and it will make Returning Storm and Relentless Storm themselves last for more Rounds. Because you will be on Crowd Control detail most of the time with this Build, there are not too many Classes that Multiclass well with it. This is because other Classes must add something passively that is better than the increased Power Level gain the Druid gets from being a Single Class.
However, if you do decide to Multiclass it I recommend either a Fighter or a Chanter. In addition, their Conquerer Stance will further increase their Accuracy, and Into the Fray can be used to pull enemies in range if they are too far away.
Charge is also great, as it fits the theme of the Crowd Control style of Build. This one ability makes a great case for a Fighter Multiclass, but you will have less spells early on, so you have to decide which is more important. Chanters provide Chants while they are in combat, which allows the Druid to still focus on their main objective, while also debuffing enemies and buffing allies. There are so many good choices here that I do not need to name them, but Chanters also benefit from a high Intellect, since their Chants will reach further targets both friendly and hostile.
Troubadour is the best choice here to make your Chants last longer. Perception is needed to make sure your spells connect and Intellect is needed to make them last as long as possible, and increase their area size. Consider adding some Constitution because you will need to be on the front lines and will likely take damage. This Build is not focuses on doing damage as much as it is Crowd Controlling enemies. Thus Might is optional and can be dumped. The Deepstalker focuses on hand-to-hand combat along side its Companion. This build is intended for people who want to have the most stress-free PotD solo run without being overly cheesy with their strats.
This might not have the best DPS or the best survivability but what it does have is sustainability, great survivability and great dps without being too dependent on end-game gear. This build works smoothly from start to finish. Yes, even at level 1. Race: Whatever you fancy but here's a ranking anyway. Honestly, it makes no difference. Remember, 'Stress-free'. Wood Elf is pretty nice for the resistance to affliction. Solo: Yes Stats :. Maxing might is obvious. Max Perception because you can never have enough accuracy.
Max Intelligence because of duration and aoes for your chants. Resolve is just junk. That's more than enough to prevent permanent crits on you. As for the other skills, I suggest mechanics up to 8 some athletics. You can retrain anyway so don't worry too much other than the initial two steps I managed. I will elaborate more on that later. As you level up, flail, battle axe, quarterstaff. Whatever you have leftover doesn't matter. Flail modal is important since it gives a reflex debuff.

I don't really use it much but without modal, there's really no reason to use a flail. Quarterstaff modal is useful but only once you get Nemnok's staff. You need the Blessing of Berath for this.
Burglar's Gloves: Just for the mechanics boost. Optional but quality of life item. Vendor Item Nekataka? I forgot. Armor: Depending on your gold, either the best breastplate you got or Devil of Caroc Nekataka Vendor, Periki's Overlook useful throughout. Essentially you want the most armor rating for the least recovery penalty. These two options give bonus to recovery as well. If you don't have the gold, go for the best option you have but gold shouldn't be an issue, I'll explain why later.
Offhand: Best large shield you can get. Cadhu Scalth is your shield of choice Old City, Gullet from the two cornett quest. It is possible to sneak past the boss and avoid fights if you are experienced with the area.Join VIP to remove all ads and videos. Wizard is a class in Pillars of Eternity 2.
Men and women of high education and extreme mental discipline, if not always outright intelligence. They use grimoires to cast difficult and powerful spells, that can damage many enemies or buff a single ally.
Wizards are a highly organized group, often forming academies or guilds devoted to research and development in magical studies, and tend to favor environments where inquiry, experimentation, debate, and the dissemination of knowledge are encouraged. Many accomplished wizards eventually become known for their eccentricity, their egos, and their unquenchable interest in all things arcane and occult.
Gain " Conjure Familiar " spell: Summons a helpful creature to aid the wizard. Familiars are poor at combat, but provide passive bonuses to their master. While in this form, spells are disabled, but physical attributes are increased. Gain " Reflexive Mirror " passive: Once per encounter, when first attacked, automatically gain the effects of the spell " Mirrored Image ".
All abilities are divided into active and passive abilities. The Wizard Ability Tree characterizes for focusing on?? Arkemyr's Dazzling Lights. Minoletta's Minor Missiles. Jolting Touch. Arms Bearer. Fan of Flames. Kalakoth's Sunless Grasp. Concelhaut's Parasitic Staff. Ghost Blades. Eldritch Aim. Spirit Shield. Fleet Feet. Chill Fog. Wizard's Double. Curse of Blackened Sight. Miasma of Dull-Mindedness. Mirrored Image. Bewildering Spectacle. Fetid Caress. Two Weapon Style. Weapon and Shield Style.

Valdr View Profile View Posts. What do you all think? The only two I think could be remotely useful are: Transmuter: strong spells and druid like transformation how strong is it? Evoker: again strong spells but I don't understand this echo ability how often does it trigger and how much damage it reapplies.
Showing 1 - 11 of 11 comments. Silvaren View Profile View Posts. Transmuter transformation is weak while the school have some good spells. Overall there is only one subclass if you want specialized wizard - evoker, and it works purely as damage dealer.
It isn't just double damage. If you cast rolling flames, then there will be 2 balls of magma.
Triggered second cast is instant, always at the end of initial cast. It's pretty devastating with spells like Minoletta's Missiles because those spells gain huge boost from Power Level, then if evoker's double cast is triggered, then evoker will shoot double number of missiles. I killed final boss with one spell - empowered Minoletta's Missile Salvo, 16 projectiles dealt damage. Yeah transmuter transformation needs some love.
I would put conjurer on par with Evoker. I'm sure the other subs have their uses, but those are the 2 main dps because you have access to enchant buffs that trigger wellspring on nature godlike.

Transmuter falls behind because of that although there are some nice priest buffs that can cover that. Enchantment and Illusion are more utility for multiclass than anything else. Please note that this Build Guide was updated for the 5. The Swift Annihilation Build uses a combination of deadly attacks and spells from Monk and Cipher to handle any situation you may face. What I really like about this combination is that you combine 2 self sustaining Classes that can regain resources through out the course of fight, so that they never have to just auto attack. Ciphers do this by attacking and Monks do this by being attacked, which means no matter what you do you are constantly gaining Focus or Wounds.
Both Wounds and Focus can be generated infinitely each combat, which is a huge plus point of this Build. Soul Annihilation is one of the best melee abilities in PoE 2, and it allows you to damage any enemy since it deals Raw Damage, which goes through Armor.
This ability is only obtainable as a Soul Blade Cipher. For my Monk Class I chose No Subclass because Shattered Pillar only gives you Wounds when attacking with a melee weapon, and we use a decent amount of spells with this Build. Primary Attacks only use 1 weapon maximum for attacks, and if we dual wield the off-hand weapon will not be used when attacking this way, so we go Two-Handed.
This is very very good, and only gets better as you progress the game, and you gain better Accuracy. It also gives enemies a chance to group up so that you can AoE them. However, these ones will be needed for this Build to work effectively. Penetrating Visions — This passive gives you an extra Penetration with Cipher spells.
Draining Whip — Take this upgrade of Soul Whip to get more Focus when attacking to always make sure that we have enough. Raw Damage cannot be resisted so this is a great ability. This can really up your damage when facing highly armored enemies. Take this one when you can, because you will need all the Accuracy you can get with this Build.
Amplified Wave — Another AoE spell that knocks enemies on their ass. You need to cast it on a party member, so make sure your tank has got solid Engagement on a few enemies before casting.
Disintegration — This spell deals a ton of Raw Damage over time to an enemy, which helps kill more difficult enemies with large Health pools and high Armor and resistances. This becomes much more important later on once you have Rooting Pain. This is great early on, but shines even more later in the game.
Since you can control the rate you gain them, you can proc this regularly for extra damage. Get it and enjoy. This is huge damage for only 3 Wounds!
Swift Annihilation needs Perception and Dexterity. You will likely want a couple points into Constitution since you will be in melee range, and a couple into Intellect to help out with AoE size.
Perception is important for hitting enemies with your spells.
Dexterity is important for Casting and Attacking quickly, improving the speed at which you deal damage.Welcome to the new and updated list of current builds from these boards. The actual list is down below scroll down a bit. Each of the several classes and multiclasses in the game are listed below in alphabetical order single classes first, then multiclasseswith each build listed alphabetically underneath. I will add those once class builds come flying in. I don't order by subclasses. If you think I should and can tell my why I will consider it.
If anyone tested any of these builds for solo play and would like their experience to be reflected in this thread, please PM me specifying the build you used, the difficulty you tried, and whether you could beat the game.
Similarly, if you want your build's descriptor updated, contact us with the updated descriptor. If your build is missing, please PM me with the relevant information link, descriptor, game version, solo play and I will add it.

Difficulty : On which difficulty level this build was played. Companion: Does this build fit any of the official companions or sidekicks? Usually it's only one name I guess.Pillars Of Eternity 2 Deadfire Guide: Character Creation
Paladin defenses let you safely self-afflict distracted with the blunderbuss modal and have constant streetfigther speed bonus. The Deathless Thaumaturge. Triggers rooting pain constantly while not dying. She is Dance. He is Destruction. She is Love. Everyone else does, though, everyone who beholds them.
I send a message to the mod. Thank you for picking this up. Forever is. They teach us how to think. If you give a man an answer, all he gains is a little fact. But give him a question, and he'll look for his own answers. I guess. How could I not? Too bad I can't play Daedfire that much atm.
In two weeks or so I will have a lot more time for it. By that time also the dust in these forums might have settled a bit. It's a bit hard to keep track at the moment Exactly - good approach.

I'm half way through the game trying to remember where I left off. I have a level 9 wizard and thinking about respeccing. Just trying to figure out what would be the best route to go.
Any certain builds I should be following, where should I stick my attributes? Right now, im 18 10 10 17 18 4. Showing 1 - 15 of 28 comments. Your Steam profile shows activity from April The game has been changed afterwards, including changes to the attributes. Do you still remember why you've chosen such a low RES 4? It reduces your wizard's low Deflection defense even further and also gives you fewer options during conversation to resolve something.
What else? No specific builds are needed to finish the game. If you compare yourself to Aloth, he's got 12 10 11 16 16 13 and is a capable and versatile wizard. A high MIG 18 isn't needed for damage spells. Originally posted by D'amarr from Darshiva :. Dorok View Profile View Posts. And you don't seem a player that will dig in deep rules and read a lot about character building and tricks before play.
The point is it's party of 6, you can make a crap weak main character, for example just build for roleplay and dialogs check, and will not have any problem with a solid party build.
